Priscilla's birthday celebrations come a month after she revealed that she will be releasing a new memoir,Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, on Sept. 23. The book, which is co-written by Mary Jane Ross, is centered on the "deeply personal story" of what Priscilla "lost and what she found" as she discovered who she was apart from her first love, according to a synopsis. The memoir will also look at how Priscilla reinvented herself after Elvis' death as a single mother raising their "talented" and "often headstrong" daughterLisa Marie Presley— and then again as the mother of Garcia, whom she welcomed with music producer Marco Garibaldi in 1987.
