The 41-year-old actress and country music starexchanged vowswith the 44-year-old soccer player on July 13, 2024 during an intimate wedding at Carnell Estate in Scotland. As the first anniversary of their special day approaches, Kramer teased Russell by revealing that she already has plans for them during the Thursday, May 22 episode of herWhine Downpodcast. "I have something planned for you for our one-year wedding anniversary that you have no idea about. I have planned it. I have booked it," she told Russell. To counteract that, she said, "I'm about to send an email out to my agents and be like, 'No matter what comes up, they're gonna have to move around these three dates.' " TheOne Tree Hillalum noted the importance of spending time together and romance, saying that things have been too busy for them to really do so in 2025. Recalling a conversation with her makeup artist, she said, "I don't want to say [we've fallen into] a bad pattern, but I don't feel like we prioritize it the way that we should because we're so... I get it, we're so busy." Kramer added that her "favorite" sort of date that they do is an at-home one where it's romantic and peaceful."But I also think in a way, it's kind of... I don't wanna say an easy way out because I really love [that] you make it so sweet, and it's so thoughtful," she said. However, she added that they didn't have their first real date night out in 2025 until March. She continued, saying, "And I feel like I would like to do more of that because I felt better and more connected to you that night." Russell agreed, jokingly telling her that they'd figure out another night out "by the end of the year." On top of their secret anniversary plans, they do have something else in the books — a trip to Paris. "I'm really excited because I wanna go somewhere new with you. And I know you've been to this place before, but we're going to Paris in October for theOne Tree Hillconvention," she said, adding that they were arriving early so that they'd have time to explore. For her, the outings didn't have to be intense; they could be as simple as playing tennis during the day. "Let's do that at least once a month or something," she proposed, adding, "This is what is important for me: For us to be able to connect so that you're not at the end of the year going, 'Man, we didn't really prioritize us, and we are the glue that holds everything together.' " The loved-up couple dated for just over six months beforeannouncing that they were engagedin May 2023. On an episode of her podcast, Kramer recounted the sweet story of Russell's proposal, which took place in front oftheir children— her daughter Jolie, 9, and son Jace, 6, Russell's teenager Troy and their son Roman, 1. We were actually supposed to be in Jamaica, but something happened with the resort, so we ended up staying here, but honestly, that's exactly what I would have wanted, was at the house. I don't need the roses and the whole glam setup." Their wedding was attended by only 35 guests, keeping it small and meaningful. "We're getting married in Scotland, so the background is already stunning as it is. I just want to marry him, and I want my closest friends there.
