"Make sure that new piece that you're adding is going to work."Fortunately this jacket trend is easy to make wearable for spring and beyond. No closet clutter here.Related:The One Spring Staple Every Woman Over 50 Needs in Her Closet, According to a Celebrity Stylist All of the stylists agreed that an elevated twist on a classic jacket isthetrend of the spring. Many designers have taken standard basics likedenim jackets, trench coats and leather jackets and added modern details. This makes the item stand out a little more while still being totally wearable for everyday.Brown, in particular, is a fan of this year's denim jacket trends."This season we're seeing them cropped, asymmetric, exaggerated shoulder detail, exaggerated collars," she says. "The newer styles are a little bit more unique."All three stylists also agree that another big trend is a classic trench coat with some modern flair. "For sure, the oversized shoulders is a thing," Acevedo says, adding that you can also opt for a cropped style or something that "nips at the waist" for a "universally flattering" shape. And instead of a standard leather jacket, Noël recommends "leaning more into that romantic [trend]" for spring with a texture like suede or details like ruffles or a blouson silhouette. The bottom line is that you can wear a staple like a jean jacket or a trench coat or a leather jacket, but just in a new and unexpected way for this season. And because the materials these jackets use are so well known and classic, the items stay wearable long beyond just this trend cycle.Related:27 Best Plus-Size Spring Outfit Ideas, According to Celebrity Stylists For an elevated jean jacket, Brown says that she loves styling it with a dressier fabric since denim is naturally "very utilitarian." She recommends layering it with a slip dress, silk skirt, chiffon or other softer fabrics."I think denim looks best when it's paired with a very contrasting texture," she explains. As for a trench coat, both Acevedo and Noël like the style with casual outfits like athleisure or jeans to elevate the look."It adds some polish to what you're wearing," Acevedo says, adding that she also likes a cropped trench with a midi or maxi skirt. The idea is really that you can wear any of these jackets with your existing wardrobe, they just make your outfits pop a little more.Related:This Is the #1 Spring Closet Staple for Petites, According to a Celebrity Stylist Some of the stylists' favorite brands for this spring includeChloe,Ulla Johnson(especially for denim),J.Crew,Mango,BLANKNYC(especially for suede),Favorite Daughter,Fabrique,MadewellandLOFT. Many of these places carry trendy takes on denim jackets as well as trench coats, suede jackets or other fun, playful twists on classic coat styles. Related:40 Spring Nail Designs That Will Brighten Up Your Day Brown says she's seen "an explosion" oflinen sets, pants, tops and jackets this season. "It's a great lightweight fabric that can take you through the spring and summer," she adds. Acevedo is a fan of the bedazzled jean trend, saying that it's an "elevated" way to dress up denim for work with a blazer."I think that's really fun," she says, namingFabriqueas one of the brands she likes for that style. Brown acknowledges that drop waists don't suit every body type, but she assures that you can still get the look by seeking out a smocked dress instead."There [are] plenty of options that have that smocking and kind of corseted body that references the trend with the drop waist," she says, namingMadewell,J.CrewandNordstromas good options for those styles. Thispale yellow colorhas been everywhere this spring, and Noël loves it as an accent hue in an accessory like a purse."I always suggest to my clients if that's a color that you gravitate toward, to find a piece that works with your lifestyle," she says. "So maybe if it doesn't feel like the color you would wear, but you like it, look for an accessory like a handbag."In particular, she's a big fan of the East West style of bag, likethis one from Freja. Any of these styles are sure to look great this spring, but also long afterwards since they're really just modern twists on classic staples. You'll love to have them in your closet for many seasons. And it's so silly, because you can't really grow to your full capacity, whatever that may be, until you have, you know, boiled and simmered a bit. You need to sort of simmer in the juices of life in order to fully blossom." I'm very, very white with very dark hair, but [my mom] said, 'don't shave it, because it's gonna get worse.' So I didn't, and I went like Sasquatch, and only later did I learn that it was okay. That's a myth!" "One of the best pieces of beauty advice I can give is to wear a hat in the sun. I [also] tell women, as they get older, they should absolutely start embracing more colors. Whether we like it or not, we do lose a bit of, you know, shine and collagen, so even if you'rea nude girl, one with a slight pink hint, is going to give you more color to your face and lift the cheekbones. I would absolutely suggest a little more color on the lips. Another thing I learned recently, which I think is very helpful. I put it on whateverconcealerI'm using, and then I go do my business. I give it 10 minutes. Maybe I'll do my brows or my cheeks or something completely different. Let it sit. It'll sit in your crackles. And then you go in with a very fine brush, and you literally just just glide along those crackles, take off the excess, because now whatever is too much is now settled in that, and then a little bit of powder." Kneecap member Mo Chara charged with terrorism in UKNew Foto - Kneecap member Mo Chara charged with terrorism in UK

A member of Irish hip-hop groupKneecapis being charged with terrorism after allegedly displaying a Hezbollah flag during a concert. Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, 27, who goes by the stage name Mo Chara, was charged May 21 with a terrorism offense, according toa release from the U.K.'s Metropolitan Police. The charge follows an investigation by the police's Counter Terrorism Command unit into a November concert at the O2 Forum in London. Ó hAnnaidh allegedly displayed a flag that, according to police, created a "reasonable suspicion that he is a supporter" of Hezbollah, a militant group based out of Lebanon. The police said they were made aware of the incident in April after videos of the concert circulated online. Ó hAnnaidh's first court appearance is scheduled for June 18. Ina statement on their Instagram, the band chided the British "establishment" and called the charge "a carnival of distraction." "14,000 babies are about to die of starvation in Gaza, with food sent by the world sitting on the other side of the wall, and once again the British establishment is focused on us," they wrote. "We deny this 'offence' and will vehemently defend ourselves." "This is political policing. This is a carnival of distraction. We are not the story. Genocide is," the continued. "As they profit from genocide, they use an 'anti-terror law' against us for displaying a flag thrown on stage." Born of Belfast, Kneecap mixes English and Irish rap, and centers much of their music around working-class struggles and the battle for a reunified Ireland. They have long been outspoken against the state of Israel, a not uncommon belief in Northern Ireland, many of whose residents see themselves as parallel to some residents of Gaza, fighting a claimed occupied power. "A charge not serious enough to even warrant their 'crown court', instead a court that doesn't have a jury. What's the objective?" the statement continued. "To restrict our ability to travel. To prevent us speaking to young people across the world. To silence voices of compassion. To prosecute artists to dare speak out. "Instead of defending innocent people, or the principles of international law they claim to uphold, the powerful in Britain have abetted slaughter and famine in Gaza, just as they did in Ireland for centuries," the statement continued, in apparent reference to the U.K.'s close allied relationship with Israel. "The, like now, they claim justification. The IDF units they arm and fly spy plane missions for are the real terrorists, the whole world can see it," they said, concluding, "We stand proudly with the people. You stand complicit with the war criminals. We are on the right side of history. You are not. We will fight you in court. We will win. Free Palestine." Amidst the whirlwind of premieres and flashbulbs at theCannes Film Festival,Scarlett Johanssonand husbandColin Jostshared a genuinely romantic, unscripted moment that offered a glimpse into their connected partnership. On May 20th, during the high-profile red carpet for the filmVie Privée, the couple demonstrateda warm reunionafter a brief, incidental separation in the throng. The swoon-worthy moment occurred shortly after a significant professional milestone for Johansson: the successful premiere of her directorial debut,Eleanor the Great, which was met with a five-minute standing ovation. As they navigated the subsequent red carpet forVie Privée, the pair appeared to momentarily lose sight of each other in the bustling crowd. Photographs captured a determined Scarlett Johansson, 40, her lavender Prada silk chiffon gown flowing, making her way through the assembled guests and past security cordons, her focus clearly on reaching her husband. Colin Jost, 42, dapper in a classic black tuxedo, was visibly surprised and then broke into an appreciative smile as he saw her purposefully heading his way. He then warmly took her hand, and they continued along the iconic red carpet together, their expressions reflecting a quiet joy. This candid interaction, set against the formal grandeur of Cannes, resonated as a moment of simple, heartfelt connection. It wasn't a grand, staged gesture, but rather a small, relatable instance of a couple finding each other in a crowded room, a scene that carried an undeniable touch of romance. Throughout their time at the festival, Johansson and Jost consistently presented a united front. At the premiere ofEleanor the Great, they were seen sharing congratulatory kisses and holding hands, clear indicators of their mutual support on a pivotal night for Johansson's career. For that event, Johansson wore a chic black halter-neck dress, with Jost proudly by her side in a tailored grey suit. For the laterVie Privéered carpet, Johansson's lavender Prada gown, with its strapless neckline and elegant draping, created a striking silhouette. She complemented the look with De Beers diamonds, a classic red lip, and a sophisticated updo. Married since October 2020, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost, who share their son Cosmo, with Johansson also being mother to daughter Rose, are often noted for their supportive relationship. Jost, a prominent writer and "Weekend Update" co-anchor atSaturday Night Live– the place their paths first crossed – was a steadfast presence as Johansson celebrated her directorial achievement.
