Wendy Williams Was Moved from Her Care Facility Floor After Allegedly Sneaking Up to Roof, Getting Drunk on Her BirthdayNew Foto - Wendy Williams Was Moved from Her Care Facility Floor After Allegedly Sneaking Up to Roof, Getting Drunk on Her Birthday

David Livingston/Getty A new documentary calledTRAPPED: What Is Happening to Wendy Williams?,dug deeper into Williams' alcoholism, dementia diagnosis and guardianship. Williams is currently on the memory floor of an assisted living facility in New York City, but investigative journalist Diane Dimond claimed she was only moved there after sneaking off to get drunk on her 60th birthday. The former talk show host previously admitted that she had "celebrated" that year, but has since gotten sober. A new documentary is delving intoWendy Williams'alcoholism. An hour-long special, calledTRAPPED: What Is Happening to Wendy Williams?,premiered on Monday, May 19, on the ID Channel, taking a deeper look into her life under a guardianship. The former talk show host, 60, currently resides in a secured floor of a New York City assisted living facility, butinvestigative journalist Diane Dimondclaimed that wasn't always the case. "Wendy was on the third floor in this care unit, where she has access to the hallways, to the elevators," Dimond alleged. "And on her birthday, she decided to get in the elevator and see where she could go. Well, it went all the way up to the rooftop bar, and it being her birthday, she ordered a drink, and then another one, and another. Who knows how many, but she will admit to you that she got drunk, she had a relapse." "Her treatment is to be sent to a much more restrictive ward," she claimed. "And that was the fifth floor, the memory care unit, where she has a room with a bathroom and a television, and she is locked into that floor 24/7 unless the guardian gives her permission to go out once in a while." Representatives for Williams did not immediately return PEOPLE's request for comment. Williams, who wasplaced in a guardianship in 2022and diagnosed withprimary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia(FTD) the following year, has addressed these claims before. During aMarch interview onThe View, she admitted that she "celebrated" in July 2024 when she turned 60, but insisted that she is now sober. "[My] relationship [with substances] is fine and is wonderful," she said. "I've had my devices and I have to tell you something: I am easily going on with my life, alcohol-free." Several doctors have weighed in on the possibility of Williams having alcohol-induced dementia, rather than FTD. "Alcohol is one of the main causes of cognitive decline and dementia," brain disorder specialist Daniel Amen said inTRAPPED."In fact, I believe that alcoholic dementia is the second most common cause." SinceWilliams began speaking outabout her conservatorship and health issues at the beginning of 2025,her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has requestedthat she receive "a new medical evaluation that will involve comprehensive neurological and psychological testing by a specialist in the field." "The issue of whether [Williams] has the capacity to assess what is in her own best interests deserves renewed careful consideration by qualified experts, and should not be left to careless speculation in tabloids, radio, or on the Internet," the Feb. 5 filing stated. Johnny Nunez/WireImage Then, in March, Williams was taken to the hospital followinga welfare checkrequested by her health care advocate, Ginalisa Monterroso. When the pair later called intoGood Day New York,Williams announced thatshe "passed" the exams at the hospital "with flying colors." Morrissey, however, told PEOPLE that Williams never scheduledher new medical evaluation. "Medical testing, including an MRI brain scan and neuropsychological assessment, had been scheduled for Ms. Williams," Morrissey told PEOPLE. "The Court directed that the testing be completed in March. Ms. Williams has declined to participate in the testing to date and therefore, the testing was not completed." In response, Williamstold PEOPLE that she was not awareof the guardian's claim that she had opted out of recent testing. "I don't know anything about that," she said with a laugh, adding: "Bulls---. I am open to what I am open to and I can't talk about it right now." Harvey Weinstein Interviewed by Candace Owens From Prison: Defamed Producer Claims He Was 'Wrongfully Convicted' and Attacks Accusations From Gwyneth Paltrow and Rose McGowanNew Foto - Harvey Weinstein Interviewed by Candace Owens From Prison: Defamed Producer Claims He Was 'Wrongfully Convicted' and Attacks Accusations From Gwyneth Paltrow and Rose McGowan

Harvey Weinstein sat down with conservative political commentator Candace Owens for atell-all interviewon-camera from prison, in which the defamed producer maintains his innocence and rebuffs the claims of his Hollywood accusers. Weinstein opens the interview by claiming he was "wrongfully convicted," denouncing the fact he was twice found guilty of sexual crimes: First in 2020 of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and third-degree rape, and the second in 2022 of rape. His 2020 conviction was overturned in 2024 because the trial judge allowed testimony based on accusations that were not included in the case, a point Weinstein brings up multiple times, seemingly as evidence to support his innocence. He describes his actions as merely "mistakes" and asserts he has done nothing "illegal." More from Variety Candace Owens Is Out at Daily Wire, CEO Says Anti-Trans Post From Brittany Aldean Leads to War of Words Between LGBTQ+ Supporter Maren Morris and Candace Owen More Sex Crime Trials for Cosby, Weinstein in Los Angeles "I hurt my family. I hurt my friends. I cheated on my wife. And that was a mistake, you know, a terrible mistake," Weinstein said. "But I did not commit these crimes. I swear that before God, and the people watching now, and on my family." The infidelity, he asserts, was triggered by the pressures of his work. "Oh, I was not a good boss," he admits. "I was tough and I was demanding, and I should have been better at it, but I wasn't. I had a temper. You know, I just should have controlled myself better. And the pressures of that work was my excuse for the cheating." Owens then prompted Weinstein to discuss some of his former accusers, including Gwyneth Paltrow. In 2017, PaltrowclaimedWeinstein invited her into his hotel room, put his hands on her and suggested a massage after casting her in the 1996 film "Emma." The incarcerated Weinstein called the accusation "a complete fabrication." Though he admitted that he "definitely made a pass," he claimed he "didn't touch her." "She thought the relationship was abusive. Anybody who was there, who witnessed that relationship with [Paltrow], it just turned into total friends," Weinstein said. "There's pictures of her hugging me when I was sick and in the hospital and didn't think I was gonna make it in 1999. Gwyneth, at the Golden Globes, said, 'Bomber, we miss you.' She got up and made a speech about me. Nobody asked her to do that. In her Academy speech, she thanks me." Weinstein argues that his falling-out with Paltrow instead happened because he didn't like the script for Donna Tartt's "Secret History" that Paltrow and her brother Jake Paltrow wrote after he had optioned the bestseller. Weinstein also addressed Rose McGowan, who came forward in abombshell New York Times articlepublished in 2017, claiming that Weinstein paid her $100,000 to stay silent about a sexual encounter at the Sundance Film Festival. The article quotes a legal document in connection with the cash, which states that the money was "not to be construed as an admission" by Weinstein, and was only to "avoid litigation and buy peace." Weinstein said the money was to make sure his infidelity to his then-wife, Eve Chilton, remained a secret. "I settled with Rose McGowan," he said. "I gave her $100,000, you know, to say…just don't tell my wife, don't get me in trouble." As for what Weinstein has been up to since his historic fall from Hollywood royalty, he tells a clearly sympathetic Owens he's been helping some of his industry connections develop their films from jail. "I have friends who are still in the industry who slip me their screenplays and ask me for notes," Weinstein said. "You know, can I do something for it? Can I help? Can I improve it? And I just give them my honest thoughts. So I'm not doing anything for me, but I'm doing things for others." Weinstein is currently on trial in New York and charged with two counts of committing a "criminal sexual act" in the first degree and one count of third-degree rape. The charges stem from accusations by former model Kaja Sokola, former TV production assistant Miriam Haley and actor Jessica Mann.
