"Our paths as a couple have shifted and has created challenges that are irreconcilable," Paiz wrote. She went on to call McBroom her "best friend," writing, "that will never change." McBroom opened up about his separation from Paiz with his younger brother, Landon McBroom, on the first episode of their podcast,Outside Voices, in November 2024. McBroom talked about his decision to play up a "down bad character," filming content that included him renting an RV to park outside of Paiz's house. "I was playing this down bad character, and it was crazy because I feel like a lot of people were relating to me, especially a lot of women were relating to me because after a break up, no one wants to talk about it or act that way on social media," McBroom said. "But that's how people are feeling." Paiz addressed their split months later when a fan asked during an Instagram Q&A if she would ever consider reconciling with McBroom. "There was a reason behind my divorce. But I can say that we're living harmoniously and still learning everyday, we're forever family for as long as we're breathing," Paiz wrote on her Instagram Stories in January 2025. Months later, Paiz opened up more during an appearance onCall Her Daddy, sharing that McBroom cheated on her with at least three women that she know of, and potentially up to 20 women that she'd heard of. McBroom had confirmed his infidelity weeks earlier on Snapchat, where he wrote that his ex condoned his cheating — which Paiz denied. "One thing he said that really just was a punch to the gut was, 'Yes, I cheated and she was OK with it as long as I said you don't embarrass me,' " Paiz said. "That is not true. I never ever said that. I would never say that." Catherine Piaz/ Instagram Ten months after announcing their split, Paiz debuted her new boyfriend, Igor Ten, on Instagram with apostof the two cuddling up poolside. She didn't tag or reveal the name of her new partner at the time, simply captioning the post, "My love… 💞." McBroom talked about seeing the post for the first time on theOutside Voicespodcast, saying he had met Paiz's boyfriend before and thought he was a "great guy." "I'm trusting Catherine's judgement on bringing in the right person to be around our kids," said McBroom. As for McBroom, he announced that he plans to keep all future relationships off social media. "I know moving forward that anyone that I'm with or talking to, I'm gonna keep it private, and that's just my decision," he said.
